I've been brainstorming looks for my work Christmas party, I wanted to do something different instead of the generic sparkly dress that everyone seems to go for at this time of year. I've had my eye on this colour block sleeveless polo neck knit for a while now, and to my delight it's now in the sale for a tenner no less! As always, I took to Polyvore and tried to work a look around it. I teamed it with a simple pair of tapered smart black trousers, I chose this pair from RI as the hem falls just above the ankle perfect for showing off these metal toe cap courts from H&M! I added the ruby ring and Red MAC lippy to make the monochrome getup POP that little bit more. As I was about to order the top online, my boyfriend decided he'd air his opinion, which went something like "That's hideous, you'll look like Cruella de Vil in that!" Needles to say I put off buying it, BUT I'm still in love with this look. Maybe it's my inner child that's channelling my lifelong want to be a glamorous, fashion forward Disney villainess!? (I'm not sure that's an actual word, but hey it sounds cool.) Maybe I should let my subconscious dictate my outfit choices more often, or maybe not?

It has a massive directory of clothes and accessories for you to choose from, from a variety of labels and stores. These are just a few things that you can do on Polyvore! It really has to be seen to be believed, I'm sometimes on there for hours on end! Mon premier jour à Paris

I shan't bog you down with a day by day diary-esque account of my recent week away in Paris with my boyfriend, mainly due to the fact I don't have the time to! The commencement of my second year of my Law degree this October has reclaimed most of my free time, and my summer is most definitely over. The photos to follow are of our first day in Paris...

I'll be posting  more photos of the rest of my time in Paris soon, so be sure to pay another visit!

My Autumn wish list

My Autumn wish list

Well here they are, my most desired items for this autumn. Naturally, living in England means you daren't step out of the door without a coat any time after August. Although, this year we only had about two weeks worth of summer! Anyway, enough of me complaining about the atrocious English weather, which seems to be all we English talk (moan) about. Back to coats...

I've been longing for the perfect coat for a while now, one which is smart yet seemingly sleek and cool at the same time. I should have known to turn to Allsaints for this. I found the perfect one on their online store, it's called the Tula Coat. I need to go in-store and try it on as it's not exactly a steal with the price tag of £275, which means it better look DAMN good before I depart with that kind of cash!

Chelsea boots are probably one of my favourite types of shoes, my pair from last year are heavily over worn and I plan to replace them with this pair from Topshop sometime soon. They are £62 and can be found here. As you may know if you follow my blog, vintage Levi shorts are quite literally all I wear in summer. But, I've yet to find the perfect pair of jeans. I think vintage Levi's are a welcome alternative to the modern day skinny jeans craze. Plus, they look great when paired with Chelsea boots, so I'm on the look out for the perfect pair.

Now, let me just graze over the accessories rather quickly so I can get onto the bag, yes THE bag. I'm in need of an every day watch and this little Casio is functional and excitedly retro. As for the ring and nail varnish, I'm kind of obsessed with ox blood/wine red or whatever you want to call it, at this moment in time. This ring from etsy.com is pleasantly dark and gothic, it'd make the perfect vampire daylight ring (*cue Vampire Diaries references*...another thing I'm currently obsessed with.) As for the nail varnish I own the same one from Barry M in black, it creates a really interesting effect. So, naturally I thought why not get it in red too.

Finally, THE CAMBRIDGE SATCHEL. Now, if you've never heard of them then you must be a hermit living under a rock. Cliché I know, but they're the biggest thing since sliced bread. And I want one! They're made to order, this classic one is £94 and you can get your initials embossed on it at an extra cost. It's my birthday in December and well, this is the point where the true motive behind this post becomes clear...maybe I should have just explicitly named it 'My Birthday Wishlist...'

Nipple Blush!

At last I've got my hands on another bottle of Benefit's Lip & Cheek stain. I don't like wearing lipstick because, quite frankly, I can't be bothered to continuously re-apply it! I also don't always like how strong the colour comes through, but with this, it not only doubles up as a rather great blush but it allows you to control the intensity of your lip colour according to occasion. It's great for giving a little bit of life to your lips during the day and then, when you're ready to put your heels on and paint paint the town red just apply a couple more coats of this fantastic lip stain and voilà... perfect sultry lips ;)

Oh and if you were wondering what the hell the post title was about... here's a little bit of interesting information as to the history of such a product. It was originally made not for your lips or even cheeks, but yes...it was made for your NIPPLES! It was to be applied to pink'en them and well, I guess... make them prettier? BIZARRE!

Spike up your life!

You gotta' love sheer black cut-off sleeve shirts, detail collars, spikes and well, more spikes! ... okay maybe that's just me then. Or is it?

These jeans are form Urban Outfitters, one of my favourite high street stores. They are known for their quirky street style pieces, but, even by their standards these are pretty unusual. A right bargain reduced from £50 to just £25! Did I mention I also love bargains? This necklace spices up any old outfit, and it seems it's no secret as everyone seems to be wearing them! Oh no they're on to me! Most would say it's a bit too much with my embellished collar, but who cares what most people think!? Certainly not me. The shoes, the shoes where do I start? Again some would say they're too much but they do me fine. There can never be too many diamanté's and spikes! (there really can be and even these are pushing the boat out a bit...but they're still hot to trot!)

Vows in Sicily

Toward the end of June my mother and I jetted off to Sicily for my cousins wedding. After almost a week of relaxing and topping up our tans, (as you can see, not much 'topping up' actually occurred) we had the pleasure of attending one of the most moving and beautiful weddings we've been to to date.

I'm going to let the pictures do most of the talking in this post, as I'm sure you will appreciate. The setting and most of all the happy occasion made for some fantastic shots...

Hope you enjoyed the photos! I may upload a more detailed outfit post sometime soon, so look out.

Pathway to summer

There is nothing better than a ray of sunshine teamed with a venture out in to the good old English woodland.
I really love when the weathers good in London which, as you may know, is not a very common occurrence. However on the odd occasion when we're lucky and the sun comes out to play it really does make you realise how beautiful England really is. With green being my favourite colour and my love for the outdoors, the forest is by far one of my favourite places to be. Being there just makes all my senses scream freedom and relaxation, my ensemble for the day reflected this and is very simple and laid back...

I love the faded indigo colour of these vintage Levi shorts that I got from Camden market, they are a staple in my summer wardrobe every year. I have a couple of pairs but these are by far my favourite. I like that they are quite high waisted and not too tight, and so fall very nicely on my legs. This belt I nabbed from my sister to offset the gold buttons on my shirt, the leaf buckle, by chance works pretty well with my surroundings don't cha think!?

These brogues are absolutely bloomin' ancient, but I haven't really worn them much until now. Being nude they pretty much go with anything...although they were a lot nicer before they got covered in mud :'(

Damn I need a hair cut...

And low and behold the complete look! Poking out of my shirt are my trusty Rayban Clubmasters a must for the blazing sun! (Okay, this IS England maybe that was a slight exaggeration.)
